JAMES KWABENA ADDO (Group Managing Partner –Asensu Holdings BV)

James is the managing partner of Asensu Holdings, a strategic partner GFI UK and Barakali Investments Mauritius, and the strategic investor in Asensu Capital and. Until April 30 2010 he was Group CEO of Securities Africa Limited, a Bermudan pan-African investment bank with offices in 7 of Africa’s main markets and in UK and USA. He also co-managed the US$50MM Finch Africa Fund, related investment vehicle focused on listed and unlisted investment opportunities. James was an investment banker in the US and Africa from 1992 through 2010. James focuses on major African government and corporate clients on their infrastructure investment strategies. Past sovereign clients have included the governments of the Netherlands, Ghana, Namibia and Uganda. He holds degrees from Dartmouth College and Frank Zarb School of Business (Hofstra University USA)

 

 

HATIM ELAMIN (Lead Associate Director –East Africa)

Hatim is a corporate finance, portfolio and asset recovery manager with experience providing expert investment execution services and cutting-edge financial solutions to multiple corporations. With a particular focus in the distressed asset space, he has overseen the acquisition and management of NPL’s, claims and other forms of monetary obligations with a face value of several hundred million dollars. Hatim has negotiated and structured NPL books (from both a buy and recovery side) with governments, quasi-government and private corporations. Hatim is an exceptional strategist primed in valuing distressed assets and claims to develop long-term strategies, key objectives and operational executions plans based on business best practices as well as maximum asset and investment recovery/returns. Hatim attended Herriot-Watt University and Edinburgh Business School.
